Our Team's Project Experience

Milpitas Unified School District: Private Fiber-optic Network
Created a 13-site, centralized Wide Area Network (WAN) that linked Milpitas High School, and its surrounding middle and elementary schools, with Calaveras High School (where the district office is located) and its surrounding schools. On the WAN, we implemented a Transparent LAN, with VoIP potential. We also built a private, 80-channel distance learning video network that features multi-channel, upstream broadcast capability and unlimited scalability.

University of California, Berkeley: Private Fiber-optic Network
Connected 35 on- and off-campus sites, including all residence halls and the data center, with 10 megabits per second, 100 megabits per second, and Gigabit Ethernet Transparent LAN.

Acalanes Union High School District: Fiber-optic Network
Linked five high schools together with a Gigabit Ethernet Transparent LAN, and also provided high-speed Internet access at 100 Mbps.

University of California, San Francisco: Private Fiber-optic Network
Built point-to-point, fiber-optic links, via Gigabit Wavelength, to connect the university's campus to their world-leading biotechnology research center, and other key sites and services. There is a Transparent LAN, telemedicine capabilities, and the bandwidth to transfer massive research files at the speed of light.

Fremont Unified School District: Private Fiber-optic Network
Designed a 44-campus, Fiber-optic WAN, which was the design of choice for the Fremont School District.

St. Mary's College: Private 60 mile Fiber Optic Internet Link
Constructed point-to-point fiber-optic network linking the college to the Internet, via a 100 megabits-per-second Ethernet over ATM connection.

Chabot Observatory: Private Fiber-optic Network
Constructed fiber to tie the observatory into a regional fiber-optic network, for the delivery of live telescope feeds and interactive astronomy classes via video to K-12 customers. We also provided high-speed Internet access so they can receive NASA feeds through a secure VPN.

"Michael Brinskele worked with us to implement our own district-wide fiber-optic data and video network. The change from our outdated T1s to a reliable high-speed fiber network paid for itself quickly, and in ways we could not have imagined. We continuously find new ways to leverage the network to enrich the process of education for our kids."
Paul Peterson, Director of Technology, Milpitas Unified School District
